Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., has tested positive for COVID-19. Trump Jr. is the second child of the president to contract the virus, and the fourth in his immediate family overall.

My son Donald is doing very well. Thank you!,” the President wrote in a tweet, following Trump Jr.’s diagnosis. An anonymous Trump Jr. spokesperson has since stated that he is asymptomatic and has followed pandemic safety guidelines. It is currently unknown how the president’s son contracted the virus, but he apparently discovered his condition after getting tested before a trip. Trump Jr. is one of many Trump affiliates who have contracted the virus, including his wife Melania and his son Barron, who have already recovered from the virus. Senior advisor Kevin Hassett, campaign manager Bill Stepein, and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson are other notable afflicted Trump allies. Trump Jr.’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle also tested positive for the coronavirus earlier this year..

Going to give it a couple days of quarantine and follow the protocols then get retested in case it was a false positive as I feel and have felt totally fine,” Trump Jr. said on an Instagram post, announcing his diagnosis. In the same post, he asked his followers for Netflix, e-book, and movie recommendations. Trump Jr. also discussed how he would otherwise be spending his time, joking that, “there’s only so many guns I can clean before that gets boring.”
